Zoo Ostrava

Ostrava Zoo was founded in 1951. At present, it breeds over 435 animal species. The Ostrava Zoo is an institution committed to a unified breeding and conservation strategy of modern zoos, whose philosophy is to protect species not only by breeding in human care, but also by direct assistance in the place of their natural occurrence in the wild.
