Zoo Olomouc
Olomouc Zoo covers an area of 42.5 hectares. The attraction of the place is the lookout tower, from which is possible to see the city of Olomouc and the Basilica on the Holy Hill. The zoo now cares for almost 300 animal species. It specializes in giraffes, African ungulates, northern fauna and marine aquariums. A rarity is the giant shark aquarium – the largest of its kind in the Czech Republic.
On the accompanying program of the Zoo is possible to find workshops and other events for families with children, science lectures and exhibitions.
