Yola

Yola, also known as Yola Carter, is an English musician, singer and songwriter from Bristol, England. She started her career as the lead singer of the country- and soul-band Phantom Limb and as backing vocals singer for various artists including Massive Attack and Iggy Azalea.

Yola began her solo career at a concert in Nashville, where she was discovered and thereafter signed by Dan Auerbach, the singer of The Black Keys. She released her first EP entitled Orphan Offering in 2016. In 2017, Yola won the UK Artist of the Year Award. Her debut album Walk Through Fire, produced by Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Studio, came out in February, 2019.

She performed songs from her album on CBS This Morning Saturday Session in March 2019.
