Venus Grrrls
Venus Grrrls is a five-member rock band from Leeds, England, consisting of Grace Kelly (vocals and guitar), Eliza Lee (guitar), Hannah Barraclough (bass), Grace Stubbings (synths), and Gabby Cooke (drums). The band draws on alternative rock, grunge, and goth rock, and in its work follows the tradition of the 1990s Riot Grrrl movement. Their music also incorporates electronic elements and visual symbolism connected with astrology and gothic themes.
Their debut EP Potions was released in 2021, and since then they have gradually published a number of singles, including Goth Girl, Sudocream Queen, Lidocaine, Liar Liar, Hex, and Aries. In 2022, the single Violet State of Mind followed, along with appearances at Kendal Calling and Truck Festival. At the beginning of 2024, the single Divine was released, produced by Sugar House, and a few months later the track Bloodsick, which was linked to a collaboration with the Anthony Nolan charity. In August 2024, the band released Darla, a song dedicated to the theme of female friendship.
In 2025, Venus Grrrls continued their work with the single Eighteen Crows, accompanied by a music video and a subsequent tour across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
