Too Many Zooz

Too Many Zooz is an American music trio from New York City, formed in 2013. The group consists of baritone saxophonist Leo Pellegrino, trumpeter Matt "Doe" Muirhead, and percussionist David "King of Sludge" Parks. Their musical style, known as brass house, combines elements of jazz, funk, EDM, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and house music.

Pellegrino and Muirhead met at the Manhattan School of Music, while Pellegrino and Parks previously performed together in the busking group Drumadics. In 2013, they began performing together in the New York City subway, where they quickly gained attention from passersby. In March 2014, a video of their performance at Union Square went viral, leading to broader recognition of the group.

In 2014, they released their first EP titled F NOTE, followed by additional EPs: Fanimals, Brasshouse Volume 1: Survival of the Flyest, and The Internet. Their debut studio album Subway Gawdz, was released in 2016. The track Warriors from this album was featured in a commercial for the Google Pixel 2 and played during the opening of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 final.

In 2024, they released their second studio album Retail Therapy. In April 2025, they followed up with the EP Red Apple Gift Shop, which includes the single Head Huncho.

At the beginning of 2025, Too Many Zooz teamed up with the band Moon Hooch for a joint tour called the Moon Zooz Tour, which included performances in several U.S. cities. In May 2025, they performed at the Dark Star Jubilee festival in Ohio.
