Behind The Ghost And The Machine is Andreas Lechner, who founded the solo project in 2013 with the intention of combining his literary passions with music.
His music is characterized by his unique guitar style combined with vocals and artistically inspiring content, which Andreas calls "Dark Academia Pop". In addition to the two single releases and double Puls 4 Austria music tips Way To Blue (February 2021) and 20 Miles High (June 2021), he released the albums Alice In Contraland, Part I & II in 2021, which includes themes such as loneliness, a romantic and artistic view on life, high expectations, false love and the longing for something unique.
Andreas describes the Dark Academia scene as a space for linking the introverted but soulful intellectuals who want to fit in and participate in today's colorful and interconnected world despite their love of heavy books, ancient art and architecture.
