The Curly Simon
Simon Štubniak, known by his stage name The Curly Simon, is a Slovak singer, songwriter, and music producer from Bratislava.
He stands out for his indie-pop musical style and original lyrics. He has been involved in music since a young age. His first experience was founding the band Don’t Trust Butterflies, where he serves as the frontman. It was with this band that he began building a fan base, which grew rapidly. In 2018, the band won the Discovery of the Year award at the Radio_Head Awards.
In 2019, he decided to pursue a solo career, giving rise to the project The Curly Simon. His first solo success was the EP Moon Boy (2019), which again earned him the Discovery of the Year award at the Radio_Head Awards. The following year, he triumphed with the song When the Snow Fell—a collaborative project with the band Fallgrapp, which won the Song of the Year award.
