Terne Čhave
Terne Čhave are considered one of the oldest and most successful Czech bands playing Romani music and represent a unique phenomenon on the Czech scene.
Since their beginnings in the 1980s, they have stuck to their Romani roots, but as one of the few originally Romani bands, endless variations on classic Romani folklore are not enough. Their music has echoes of many different styles such as funk, soul, rock, ska, blues, jazz, world music and street energy. However, the band itself doesn't bother much with its style and the listeners won't have time for such reflections either, as most of the songs are played at a fiendish pace. Thanks to all this, their music has earned the label Rom'n'Roll.
