Static-X

The band Static-X was founded in 1994 in Los Angeles on the initiative of charismatic singer and guitarist Wayne Static. The frontman was joined by drummer Ken Jay, guitarist Koichi Fukada and bassist Tony Campos. The band's debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip was released in 1999 and the band immediately went on tour, playing 300 gigs a year. The album was covered with platinum and the band was considered one of the most interesting bands experimenting with electronic and heavy metal music. During the next decade the band released five albums. Starting with Machine, released in 2001, the band recorded the album every two years: Shadow Zone, Start a War, Cannibal and Cult of Static have established themselves on the charts. The band has performed at the world's most famous festivals such as Ozzfest, Download Festival or Rock on the Range. The sound of the band consists of aggressive guitar riffs combined with cyber electronics, strong sounding drums and growls.
