Sophiensæle

Sophiensaele is a production and performance venue for independent and free theatre, located on the premises of a former craft club house in Berlin-Mitte. The venue was founded by Sasha Waltz, Jochen Sandig, Jo Fabian, Zebu Kluth and Dirk Cieslak in 1996. Not only Berlin based artists but also performers and directors of national and international theatre scenes are being invited to create, perform and present their work here in the Sophiensaele.
