Sophie and the Giants

Поп, Альтернатива/Інді | Sophie and the Giants were formed in the spring of 2017 at a music college in Guildford, Surrey in England. After graduation, all four – Sophie Scott (vocals and guitar), Chris Hill (drums), Antonia Pooles (bass) and Toby Holmes (guitar) – moved together into an abandoned house in Sheffield. A short time later, they brought their strong, life-affirming songs to the stage and went on tour with acts like Tom Grennan, Yonaka and Reverend and the Makers.

The band's heart is the incredibly captivating frontwoman, Sophie Scott, whose teenage years are now bluntly documented with unflinching honesty on Sophie and the Giants' debut EP Adolescence. I learned the most from my mistakes, she says today. Tales about growing up and finding yourself are backed with forward-thinking, progressive, emotionally charged pop with influences ranging from Siouxsie and the Banshees and Debbie Harry to Radiohead and Jamie T. It's indie rock full of euphoria, power, optimism and melodies.
