Shortparis

They wowed Polish audiences at OFF Festival and played to packed out Warsaw clubs. Now Shortparis, after releasing two new albums since their last visit in the country, will also play in Wroclaw. Shortparis' music cannot be pigeonholed. You can find traces of postpunk, postindustrial, noise or dark wave elements in it, with great songwriting and disturbing vocals. In November 2019 Shortparis shared their third studio album, entitled Так закалялась сталь - Tak Zakalyalas' Stal' (Thus the Steel Was Tempered). They also picked up a number of awards in Russia, including for "Discovery of the Year" (GQ Russia), "Band of the Year", "Single of the Year" and "Video of the Year" (Jager Music Awards). In 2021 they released Яблонный сад, which saw them shift their palette to a more slick, industrial, art rock sound featuring very precise guitar lines, a steady proportion of folky vocals, chanting with catchy, intriguing choruses.
