Samuel Kováčik
Samuel Kováčik was not fascinated by space from an early age, but when it happened, it happened completely. Space captivated him with its strangeness – black holes, quantum physics, and the structure of time and space. He also focuses on the quantum structure of space in his research, from theoretical mathematical foundations to possible observations and phenomena. In addition, he popularizes science. He founded the Vedátor project, produces the Vedátorský podcast, and has written the books Najznámejšie experimenty vo fyzike (The Most Famous Experiments in Physics), Obyčajné zázraky (Ordinary Miracles), and Kúsky reality (Pieces of Reality). For his popularization activities, he was among the finalists of Falling Walls Lab in Berlin, was nominated for the Kaliga prize, and won the 2021 Science and Technology Award in the category of science popularization.
