Rich Hopkins & The Luminarios
Rich Hopkins is an American musician. In January 1985, the guitarist and songwriter founded his first rock band in Tucson with the Sidewinders. Due to name-legal reasons, however, the band had to rename in 1991 to Sand Rubies. In 1992, Rich Hopkins began his solo career with the Luminarios. The backing band consists of changing members. In 1993 he started another - but short-lived - project with the Woodcocks. In 1995 he toured for the first time as the opening act of Chris Cacavas in Germany, followed in 1997, with the first own tour with the Luminarios through Germany. Rich Hopkins plays many classics of the 1960s and 1970s in addition to his own pieces, drawing from the repertoire of the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, with whom he is compared often.
