Rhythm of the Dance – Irish Fire, Rhythm and Tradition in the Czech Republic

In 2026, Rhythm of the Dance will bring to the Czech Republic an entirely new and original program that combines step dancers, live music, lavish stage design, and large-scale projections.

Audiences can look forward to an evening full of energy, where vibrant scenes alternate with moments drawing on the deep roots of Irish music. On stage, not only couples whose harmony takes your breath away will appear, but also solo performances by spirited dancers who tell stories through their steps—stories as old as Ireland itself.

Words of the choreographer: “It’s not just about preserving Irish culture – we are developing it and bringing it to the stage in a way that resonates with people across continents", says choreographer James Greenan. His words ring true: the show Rhythm of the Dance has been celebrated worldwide.

Throughout the performance, the rhythm of the music and the energy of the dance intertwine. Every step of the dancers is supported by live music, from the traditional bodhrán drum to the delicate tones of the harp, as well as flutes and fiddles. Songs in Irish Gaelic will also be heard, transporting the audience to ancient times and evoking the richness of Celtic heritage. Together, dancers and musicians create a bridge between past and present – from traditional folk dances to modern choreographic elements.
