Randy Hansen

Randy Hansen studied Jimi Hendrix down to the last detail, so to speak. It is not for nothing that he is titled as the reincarnation of Jimi by music magazines and music critics around the world. Already as a twelve-year-old he listened to the first Hendrix album Are You Experienced. Now well known in the US, he toured with many well-known musicians and bands. Francis Ford Copolla was so thrilled with him that he built Randy's staccato guitar sounds and bombastic sound blasts as effect sounds in the anti-war movie Apocalypse Now. His overwhelming debut in Germany celebrated Randy, moreover Uli John Roth of the Scorpions was so excited by Randy that he hired him for his concert in honor of Jimi Hendrix, Tribute to Jimi Hendrix, which took place in Cologne in the E-Werk and was recorded by WDR-TV. Randy Hansen's band consists of two big minds of the music scene: the drums are made by Manni v. Chr. Bohr plays and completes the duo of UFO Walter, the long-time bassist of Marla Glen. Both in the US and in Europe Randy Hansen is a cult figure.
