Prong
Prong was born in arguably the most important club in the world, New York's CBGB, where its singer Tommy Victor was the sound engineer and first bassist Mike Kirkland the doorman. Active since 1986, the line-up debuted with the crossover thrash LP Force Fed in 1989, recorded with ex-Swans drummer Ted Parsons; Prong continued to release music until splitting up in 1996, mixing metal, New York hardcore and electronic elements to create a groove metal sound that influenced bands like Korn and Pantera. Prong returned to the scene in 2007; they now have a total of 12 studio albums to their name, the most recent of which is 2017's Zero Days.
