Podlaskie Muzeum Kultury Ludowej

Podlaskie Muzeum Kultury Ludowej was established in September 2016 as a result of the merger of the Białystok Village Museum and the Department of Ethnography, excluded from the structures of the Podlaskie Museum in Białystok. The aim of the open-air museum is to protect the wooden architecture monuments in Podlasie, as well as to recreate the traditional rural landscape of the region. Museum collections document the material culture of Bialystok region from the late nineteenth century to the seventies of the twentieth century. Visitors to the museum can see the historic wooden architecture of the Podlasie village. By the entrance gate there is an impressive windmill - Koźlak from 1836, and next to it a smithy brought from Gródek. In total, since the early 90s of the twentieth century has managed to move nearly thirty buildings.
