Paulie Garand
Paulie Garand, real name Pavel Harant, is a Czech rapper and producer. In addition to rapping and producing, Paulie is a filmmaker and music video maker. In addition, he is the creator of his own clothing brand, Garand Brand.
He works under the Ty Nikdy Label, under which he has released the albums Harant (2010), V hlavní roli (2012), Molo (2014), Boomerang (2015), Nirvana (2017) and DANK (2018). From serious songs, to critique, to light-hearted themes. Some of his best known compositions include Molo, La Familia, Boomerang, Tuláci and others.
Paulie recorded the album DANK again with his producer Kenny Rough. He has returned to his more natural position, lyrical indie rap, but this time it is additionally interwoven with unexpectedly honest confessions, gratitude and pure love for music. The fact that Paulie is not ashamed to talk about even the most intimate things on the record is evidenced by probably the two most emotional tracks of his career – Návraty and Srdce z ledu. In 2020, Paulie Garand released a collaborative album Mezi prsty with legendary producer DJ Wich, as well as a solo project Monology.
In 2022, the album Amonite was released on Paulie's thirty-fifth birthday. Milan André Boronell, in collaboration with Under My Pillow, supervised the final design of the tracks. During almost two years of creative work a large amount of material was born, 15 tracks with a large list of guests - e.g. Ben Cristovao, Majk Spirit, Sofian Medjmedj, Alan Murin or Stepan Urban, singer from Paulie's live acoustic band. Among the strictly rap guest artists, Ty Nikdy's colleague Martin Matys or Koky from Milion+ got a place in the title track Amonit.
In September 2024, Paulie releases the single Proud from his upcoming album Molo II. The single features a cameo appearance by Rest aka Restovski.
