Operant
The operant is a collaboration of Luna Vassarotti (founder of the Berlin label Instruments of Discipline) and August Skipper. The music of the project is an amalgam of power electronics, industrial techno and dark ambient, whose main assumption is to explore the themes of gender, psychology and psychological manipulation as well as body morphology and its ability to change through its violent reconstruction. Performances Live OPERANT is a collision between machines and the human body, during which saturated with noisy synthesizer sounds against the background of sharp bits and double vocals are surrealistically distorted and processed.
