Olympiastadion Berlin

The Olympiastadion Berlin is located in Berlin-Westend and is a central part of the Olympic site.

It was built in 1934-1936 for the 1936 Summer Olympics on the site of the German Stadium that had previously been located there and holds approximately 100,000 spectators.

The stadium was thoroughly rebuilt and modernized between 2000 and 2004 for the 2006 World Cup, and the official inauguration of the new stadium took place in 2004 with a large concert event.

Today, the main user of the stadium is the Hertha BSC Berlin soccer club, but it is also used for major events such as concerts and church conventions. Event highlights include concerts by the Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran. Over 300,000 tourists visit the Olympiastadion every year.
