An honest teenager with a unique sense of humor approaches an unknown girl on the bus. Valerie is funny and confident, but beneath her glossy Instagram profile lies a girl who is still searching for herself. Together, they discover that high school is not like it is in TV shows or books — that hot guys aren't always nice, good guys can be toxic, grand gestures aren't always romantic, and intimate experiences aren't always magical. Life finally makes sense. Until it stops making sense. Marky's ideas are slowly crumbling, but he can't help but notice that something much worse is happening to Val. That evening is approaching. And time is running out.
