Джаз | A Warsaw jazz band that juxtaposes lyricism and cinematic illustration with the rough sound of alternative rock. Formed in 2008, Niechęć has a line-up of both trained jazz instrumentalists and self-taught musicians with large record collections; despite their rock influences, they are far from the overblown fusion of the 1980s, with critical comparisons leaning towards the likes of Morphine or Jaga Jazzist. Their compositions spin a very personal tale—dark yet atmospheric, aggressive yet elegant; their accessible use of poetics has earned them crossover appeal, with shows at festivals such as Open'er and Colours of Ostrava.
