Muzeum Okręgowe w Bydgoszczy
The Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz continues the traditions of the Nadnoteckie District Historical Society, established in 1880, by collecting and exhibiting world, national and regional cultural heritage. Currently, it has eight branches with a wide range of research interests—including facilities devoted to archaeology, history, contemporary art and ethnography, housed on the city's Wyspa Młyńska island; the Exploseum, a former Nazi explosives factory; or the house of the museum's patron, the Young Poland painter Leon Wyczółkowski.
