The richly decorated interior is complemented by a real artistic delicacy – the curtain depicting the arrival of the first Czechs to Říp, hand painted by Mikuláš Aleš. The beautiful pure Art Nouveau building is not only an adornment of the city, but also an important cultural centre in the wide surroundings. Although the theatre does not have a permanent ensemble, its program is very rich and more than 200 various cultural events are held there annually.
