Venezuelan-born Alexander Molero creates tropical psychedelic music. The inspiration is, paradoxically, European views of South America – Werner Herzog, Anton Goering, Victor Segalen. Molero transforms their idealistic, exoticizing enthusiasm into self-confessed audio fiction that carries the sheer joy of discovery.
The album with the title Ficciones Del Trópico consists of synthetic sounds of a simulated forest. Next to enchantingly pulsating arpeggios stand (quasi) organic sounds – birds, insects and Andean flutes – that draw the imagined image in depth without pretending to be authentic.
