Mayo

Amsterdam musician Mayo (real name Marjolein Suzanne Hoppen) is the embodiment of the assumption that the chaos of many influences brings strict logic into the right constellation. She collected a solid musical education, which resulted in mastery of drumming, guitar and saxophone. Inspired by a wide range of genres from punk through metal to reggaeton, she gradually discovered a passion for electronic production and DJing enriched her own-handed modular synthesizers. The result is an unmistakable sound, defining her debut album Sad Violin Music and smaller releases based on R.I.O. or Brokntoys.
