Mauro Peter
Born in Lucerne, Switzerland, Mauro Peter received his musical training at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Fenna Kügel-Seifried, and in Helmut Deutsch's Lied class. In 2012, he was the winner of Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau, where he was awarded the 1st Prize and the Audience prize. In the same year, he made his successful debut as a lieder recitalist at the Schubertiade in Hohenems and Schwarzenberg, performing DIE SCHÖNE MÜLLERIN with Helmut Deutsch. Many recitals followed in the most distinguished concert halls and opera houses such as the KKL Lucerne, London’s Wigmore Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Musikverein Graz, the Teatro de la Zarzuela Madrid, the Festival de Pâques in Aix-en-Provence, the Konzerthaus Bern, Berlin and Dortmund, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Philharmonie Cologne, the Opera Frankfurt and Zurich or the Salzburg Festival.
