Their first album Blue Lines (1991) is extremely important. Massive Attack then combining jazz, hip hop, rock, soul and created a whole new genre - trip hop. Other boards Protection (1994), Mezzanine (1998), 100th Window (2003) and Heligoland (2010) are also highly acclaimed. Noted are also due to politically themed concerts and screenings during the large number of reviews (eg, Madonna, Sinead O'Connor, Tricky, Damon Albarn).
