Mariza

Mariza, half African, half Portugalka grew up in Lisbon's Mouraria considered the cradle of fado. The first album (Fado em Mim, 2001) Mariza opened the way for the world's best festivals and it was clear that fado gained supreme performer who can establish intense, unpretentious communication with the audience. Mariza is the recipient of numerous prizes, for example the BBC world music, and participated in several documentary films about fado, has a partnership with many great musicians, including Sting and Lenny Kravitz, and confirms that music is not about facts, but understandable emotions regardless of language.
