Kypck
Kypck – pronounced Kursk – is a Finnish doom metal band with Russian vocals and themes, active since 2007. The band members are guitarist Sami Lopakka (Sentenced, Northern Tribe), drummer and producer Hiili Hiilesmaa, vocalist Erkki Seppänen (Tuiran Miliisi, Dreamtale), and bassist Jaakko Ylä-Rautio (The Skreppers). They themselves call their music the fastest Russian doom metal from Finland. Kypck's debut album, Cherno, was released in 2008; since then they have released four more, the last of which, Prestupleniya protiv chelovechestva (Crimes Against Humanity), was released in 2023; the group announced its closure after its release, citing the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
