Krzysztof Pacan
Krzysztof Pacan - double bass player, bass guitarist, music producer and composer. Nominated to Fryderyk 2011 in the Jazz Debut of the Year category for the album Facing The Challenge. Graduate of K.Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. In 2001, with Jan Smoczyński's band, he won first prize and individual award at the International Jazz Juniors Competition in Cracow. In 2002 he joined Michał Urbaniak's band. At the same time he became a member of Zbigniew Namysłowski's quartet and quintet, with which he gave concerts in USA, Canada, South Africa, China, UK, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Israel, France and Italy. In 2002-2005 he also cooperated with Trio Joachim Mencla, Sławek Jaskułka, Jan Smoczyński and Jerzy Małek and Jacek Kochan's bands, performing at numerous jazz festivals in Poland and abroad. From 2007 to 2015 he cooperated with Andrzej Smolik. In 2009 they had a joint concert tour with Tomasz Stańko entitled "The Band of the Jazz". Peyotl. In 2008, together with Jan Smoczyñski and Robert Cichy, he founded the band June - the album That's What I Like received a nomination to Fryderyk 2009 in the category New Face of Phonography.
