Klemensiewicz/Jopek

Klemensiewicz/Jopek – the duo was formed in early 2020. The musicians create their original material based on improvised music. They draw their inspirations from impressionistic music and Polish folk music.

Ania Jopek – pianist, composer and arranger. Graduate of the Music Schools of the 1st and 2nd degree in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz in the piano class. Currently she studies composition and jazz arrangement at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. She trains her skills under the supervision of teachers such as: prof. zw. dr hab. Leszek Kułakowski and dr Sławomir Jaskułke. He draws inspiration from improvised, folk and film music.

Jakub Klemensiewicz – an improviser, composer, arranger, clarinetist and saxophonist from Jastarnia. A graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where he studied at the Faculty of Jazz and stage music in Dr Maciej Obara's jazz saxophone class. Winner of the XIX Young Jazz and Blues Ensembles Review with the Nordwave ensemble (Best Band Award). Since 2014 he has been cooperating with the Sedlak Foundation, with which he co-creates numerous concerts and events all over Poland. In 2015 he was invited to cooperate with Tango Fusion 3-0-3 from Argentina. Two years later, he made another tour of Poland with the same band. In 2016, together with Dominik Kisiel, he founded the duo Kisiel/Klemensiewicz (laureates of Jazz Juniors 2019), playing their own music based on collective improvisation. In cooperation with the Fr Włodzimierz Sedlak Foundation, they recorded music for a documentary film describing the project Piaśnica - Culture of Place and created a dialogue concert for the choir, organ and saxophone Missa Pro Pace based on the Żarnowiec graduation from the 14th century. Since 2018, they have been cooperating with Polish rapper Łukasz Rostkowski L.U.C. He co-creates the projects "Rebel Babel", "Rebel Babel - 100 Years of Polish Fullm Music" and "Pilecki - Escape to Freedom".
