Klášter Kladruby
Kladrub monastery is located near Stříbro in the Tachov region, it stands above the Úhlavka river and dominates the surroundings. Its greatest pride is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, whose reconstruction was designed by the famous architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichl. Over the centuries, it has hosted, for example, Emperor Charles IV, and was later conquered by Jan Žižka of Trocnov. During the Thirty Years' War, the monastery was conquered and plundered several times by both warring sides.
