Kessoncoda
Kessoncoda is a West London duo consisting of drummer Tom Sunney and pianist Filip Sowa. With a natural blend of acoustic tradition and electronica, they build on the work of their Gondwana label mates such as Portico Quartet and GoGo Penguin. Drawing on their array of musical interests, Filip and Tom take influence from rock, electronica, ambient, breakbeat and soundtracks for film and artists such as Squarepusher, Radiohead and Clark. Their music delivers heightened cinematic emotions and soothed melodic passages.They’re developing a new vision of jazz revolutionized by lulling dance music and electronica in their tracks. They record their music in Tom's backyard studio and released their debut album Outerstate in the summer of 2024.
