Kapela Serhija Ohrimchuka

The Sergiy Ohrimchuk Band is an ensemble that explores and performs traditional instrumental music from various regions of Ukraine. The band's repertoire includes ritual and dance music from Transnistria, Polesia, Podolia and Volhynia to Boykovo, Hutsul, Lemko, Bukovina, Nadsania and Transcarpathia. The Serhiy Ochrimchuk Band is a string trio under the direction of violin virtuoso and folklore reconstructionist Serhiy Ochrimchuk, a member of the Drewo and Chorea kozacka bands. The band is co-founded by other Chorea musicians, also associated with the bands Hulajhorod, Burdon and a number of projects related to the ethno scene.
