Julia Hofer
Bassist and cellist Julia Hofer holds bachelor's and master's degrees in double bass and bass guitar from music universities in Vienna, Cologne and Mannheim. She soon became a sought-after sidewoman on Austrian and German stages. She worked, for example, in the musical ensemble of the Viennese theatre VBW (Vereinigte Bühnen Wien). She accompanied the popular German girl singing group No Angels. She also became a member of the Heavytones. The Heavytones were the official backing band for a number of popular German TV shows, such as the regular shows of comedian and singer Stefan Raab. It also accompanied participants in television singing competitions. She also "made music" during the TV show for the UEFA European Championship 2021. In parallel, she teaches at the Gustav Mahler University in Klagenfurt and at the Jam Music Lab, a private university in Vienna, in addition to online lessons.
