Joy Crookes
Joy Crookes is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Great Britain. The Brit with Irish and Bengali roots started writing songs at the age of 12. A warm voice, soft guitar and piano sounds, brass and trip-hop percussions characterizes her sound, her honest lyrics deal with identity and social issues such as sexism and racism. Her debut Influence was published in 2017, followed by the EP Reminiscence in 2019, where she sings about her childhood and youth. Even with the recently released singles Since I Left You and London Mine as well as the EP Perception she remains true to her musical line.
