Igor Krutogolov's Karate Band (Toy Orchestra)

A sensational, large, ten-piece group Toy Orchestra fronted by Igor Krutogolov. In Tel Aviv’s excellent and varied independent music scene, Krugotolov is known as a one-man-institution. The front man of such bands as Kruzenstem & Parohod or Karate Band also recorded an album with the Polish band Mitch & Mitch. His Toy Orchestra is considered the best band playing only toy versions of instruments. Mini guitars, drums, clarinets and accordions, mini pianos, rattles – everything pretty much for use by kindergarten kids, except Toy Orchestra uses them to make real magic. On the one hand, their concerts provide incredible bursts of joy and positive energy for audiences of all ages and on the other, they are feasts for connoisseurs and fans of music because the band’s repertoire includes even such hits as Sepultura’s “Roots” or “Over” by Portishead.
