Helmet
Founded in 1989 by guitarist and vocalist Page Hamilton, the band from the very beginning offered listeners hard to classify music, combining influences of hardcore and heavy metal, with audible jazz influences. Helmet has had numerous lineup changes with Hamilton as the only constant member. Thanks to this explosive mixture Helmet gained a huge number of fans all over the world, releasing more than ten studio albums.
Helmet released their breakthrough album Meantime in 1992, which received a Grammy nomination, and a gold record. In 1994, Betty was released with a broader musical scope. Another album Aftertaste followed in 1997, and after nine years and a thousand concerts, Helmet went on a break in 1998.
In 2004, Hamilton rebooted Helmet and the band began recording and releasing again – albums such as 2004's Size Matters, 2006's Monochrome and 2023's Left to name a few.
