H-Blockx
H-Blockx is a German rock band from Münster, founded in 1990 by singer and guitarist Henning Wehland. The band is one of Germany’s leading crossover acts, blending elements of rock, metal, punk, and rap. The original lineup also included guitarist Tim “Tinte” Tenambergen, bassist Stephan “Gudze” Hinz, and drummer Johann-Christoph “Mason” Maass.
Their debut album, Time to Move, was released in 1994 and featured songs such as Move, Risin’ High, and Little Girl. This was followed by the albums Discover My Soul (1996), Fly Eyes (1998), Get in the Ring (2002), No Excuses (2004), Open Letter to a Friend (2007), and HBLX (2012). The band also contributed to the soundtrack for the 1999 film Bang Boom Bang – Ein todsicheres Ding.
After a fourteen-year hiatus between studio albums, H-Blockx released the album FILLIN_THE_BLANK in March 2026. The recording featured Henning Wehland, Tim “Tinte” Humpe, Stephan “Gudze” Hinz, and drummer Steffen Wilmking. The album was preceded by the singles STRAIGHT_OUTTA_NOWHERE, LIGHTS_OUT, and CORNS_ABOUT_2_POP.
