Composer, conductor, multi-instrumentalist, singer, moderator and music director Jaroslav Krček is one of the most important personalities of contemporary Czech music. As a pupil of Miloslav Kabeláč, he has made significant contributions to all branches of classical music (he has composed 9 symphonies, 4 operas, 10 masses, a plethora of concertante, vocal and chamber works - including 16 quartets). In 1975 he founded the ensemble Musica Bohemica, with which he has recorded over 50 CD titles, music for several films and plays, and has performed throughout Europe and overseas. Much of the ensemble's repertoire is devoted to sacred music from the earliest times to the present day
