Foreign Beggars
The London group Foreign Beggars went from underground hip-hop to EDM crossover act over the course of their career, being one of the first UK acts to embrace American-style dubstep. After forming in 2003, they released six records for London's Dented Records in the aughts; as the 2010s approached, they became increasingly enmeshed in the rising EDM scene, collaborating with Noisia and releasing music on Deadmau5's Mau5trap and Skrillex's Owsla. Foreign Beggars member Metropolis died in 2019, leading the group to disband before reuniting in 2023 for an anniversary tour.
