Felix Slováček

Felix Slovacek, graduate Kromeříž Conservatory and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, is on the Czech music scene among the top players on the clarinet and saxophone. His permanent repertoire includes works of classical music as well as jazz and pop. As a soloist he has won many prizes in international competitions. His musical versatility as a composer also demonstrates and since 1983 as chief conductor Felix Slovacek Big Band.

Felix Slovacek was a member of many orchestras such as Karel Vlach Orchestra and has performed with a number of other (Gustav Brom Big Band, RIAS Radio Big Band, Copenhagen Radio Big Band, WDR Big Band Köln, etc.). Also appeared regularly in programs stalwart Czech pop Karel Gott. As a performer of classical music featured Felix Slovacek with many famous orchestras at home and abroad - collaborated with the European Community Chamber Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonic, Hessian Radio Symphony Orchestra and others.
