Erik Rothenstein

Erik Rothenstein is barytonsaxofonista, composer and arranger. He leads his own sextet and guests also in various other formations. After graduating from the Bratislava Conservatory, where he studied alto saxophone, he went to Graz, Austria to the Music University - Kunst Universität Graz, the jazz department, where he began playing the baritone sax. In Graz he also studied composition and arranging. As a bandleader devoted to his group, which focuses on the author's own compositions, stemming from modern mainstream jazz combined with ethnic elements in Central and Southern Europe. Leads world - ethno formation duduk Ensemble. Under his own name he recorded the album "Prater Menuet" and "Erik Rothenstein and the Rainbow Project - In Concert".
