Enno Voss

With Currents, the Schleswig-Holsteiner Enno Voss proposes a conclusive first work. While the German neo-classical scene, which has caused quite a sensation internationally, has focused on keys, bell-clear pianos or creaky synthesizers, the main instrument of Enno Voss is the concert guitar, which until now has been largely ignored, which provides new, new auditory impulses.

Not only does Voss play on his wooden instrument - he knocks, strokes and plucks as if it were delicate and fragile. This creates a musical intimacy that is enriched and amplified by synthesizers, tricky e-guitars and intuitive song sequences. Here and there you also hear field recordings and string instruments, and so Currents is a balanced piece of music full of warm harmonies and melancholy, like a cigarette on the balcony at dusk.
