English Theatre Berlin
The English Theatre Berlin is an exclusively English speaking theatre in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Founded in 1990 it was a German speaking theatre first, but was more and more discovered by the English speaking drama scene. In 1993 the performances were solely in English and the theatre changed its name to The English Theatre. In 2006 this became English Theatre Berlin.
The English Theatre Berlin regularly presents international guest performances, and especially stages modern classics like Beckett, Williams or Pinter. But it also engages in supporting young contemporary authors and playwrights.
