Dikanda

Dikanda is a world music band established in Szczecin, recognised especially on the foreign music market. In its work, Dikanda focuses on authenticity of style - it searches for new trends and most of its songs are original compositions. Their musical inspiration comes from the traditional folk sounds of the broadly defined Orient - from the Balkans, Israel, Kurdistan, Belarus and India. Balkan and Gypsy sounds can mainly be heard in their songs. Dikanda's concerts are an extremely emotional journey through ethnic sounds, a lively meeting full of energy, charisma and true feelings. Dikanda's characteristic feature is the creation of new words in the lyrics of their songs, which is how the group's original language - 'dikandish' - was created. The most important thing in the band's work is the message, which is the relationship between the artists and the audience.
