Czech International AI Film Festival 2025
The Czech Association of Artificial Intelligence, the leading organization in the Czech AI ecosystem, together with partner agency YDEAL and the platform zero1cine, proudly presents the third edition of the Czech International AI Film Festival (CIAIFF) — a unique showcase of the world’s best filmmaking that uses artificial intelligence. Cameras capture reality, but AI can visualize dreams, imagination, and the inner thoughts of creators. That is the true magic of this festival, which returns to Prague with an even bolder vision and a clear ambition: to show that the future of film has already begun.
After two successful editions in 2023 and 2024, covered by media from WIRED to Forbes, CIAIFF now enters its biggest year yet. While cameras reveal what’s in front of the lens, artificial intelligence unveils what lies inside the creator’s mind. The festival invites filmmakers, visual artists, tech innovators, AI enthusiasts, and audiences from around the world to discover how AI is transforming the very essence of storytelling.
The competition program will feature the winning selection from over 1,000 films submitted worldwide, showcasing works that push the boundaries of imagination. Awards will be presented in categories such as Best AI Film, Best Sci-Fi, Best Documentary, Best Experimental Film, Best Music Video, Best Screenplay, Best Photography, Best Sound Design, and Creative Use of AI. In addition, special partner awards from Curious Refuge, ElevenLabs, and Minimax will support the winning creators in their artistic and technological journeys.
Winners will be chosen by an international jury composed of leading figures from the worlds of film and AI, including Odair Faléco — President of CIAIFF and an award-winning director, Gaby Sittová, film director, Mauricio Tonon, AI technical artist, and Michaela Ternasky-Holland, recipient of numerous international awards. The festival program will also feature inspiring speakers such as Boris Eldagsen, Justin Hackney from Wonder Studios, Elliot Grove, founder of the Raindance Film Festival, and other prominent voices at the intersection of creativity and artificial intelligence.
The festival will take place on December 13, 2025, at Cinema City Slovanský dům in Prague. The entire afternoon will be dedicated to screenings, discussions, networking, and a closing awards ceremony celebrating the best creators.
CIAIFF is more than just a film competition. It’s a global platform for new stories, tools, and visionaries. It’s where art meets technology, where the boundaries of reality dissolve, and where a new era of filmmaking is being born.
