Cotatcha Orchestra
International big band Cotatcha Orchestra was founded by trumpeter Jiří Kotača with a vision to play original and unorthodox big band music.
The big band's path led from borrowed pieces of Czech and foreign composers, through collaboration with a number of artists to its own original repertoire. In 2020, the big band released its debut album Bigbandová elektronika (Big Band Electronica) on the American label PARMA Recordings. The album was nominated for the Anděl Award and was voted the best jazz recording of 2020 by Czech Radio Jazz.
